Janie Rushnell

Mrs. Rushnell graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree. She enjoyed her career as an elementary educator for seven years prior to the birth of her first child; she then found herself passing the next thirteen years as a “stay-at-home” mom.

Being a native Floridian, she experienced firsthand the damaging effects of growing up in the sunshine state and became very intrigued by the whole "anti-aging" concept! She decided to thoroughly research how she could best care for her skin. She became interested in treatments and products to help heal and restore skin. Her interest quickly grew into a passion and she reinvented herself.

She received her Facial Specialist training at Bene’s International School of Beauty. After completing her training, she opened Skintastic, a niche skincare studio. Immediately, the educator inside of her craved more knowledge and expertise. She then completed a medical aesthetic program learning advanced treatments and chemical peel techniques, along with the treatment of skin irregularities. She teamed up with Dr. Cynthia Brooks, M.D. and Dana Hess, PA-C and Skintastic morphed into a boutique Med-Spa. After meeting and treating a diverse group of clients with various skincare needs, the quest for learning and advanced training once again captivated her.

She completed her schooling for Clinical Electrology and Laser Hair Removal. She is a board-certified Medical Electrologist, Certified Laser Specialist and a member of The Society For Clinical and Medical Hair Removal, Inc. She continues to pursue advanced cosmetic procedures and truly loves what she does every day helping women look and feel their best. She enjoys meeting new patients and sitting down to create a unique plan with them.

Currently, in her eighth year of business, Skintastic has grown into a full-service Med Spa that can help you accomplish any of your aesthetic goals with a team of six amazing ladies.
