CHOICES…. That’s a GREAT Thing!

When it comes to revolumizing a patient’s face, you want as many dermal-filler choices as you can possibly have because each patient’s face experiences the aging process a little differently! That’s exactly why at Skintastic Med Spa we are PROUD to offer you ALL those choices! Not all dermal fillers are created equally. There are some very important differences! Let me explain… Of course we carry the whole line of popular Juvederm fillers made by Allergan. Those are all HA or hyaluronic acid fillers. They are used to treat different areas of the face. Juvederm Volbella is indicated for the lips. Juvederm Volluma is indicated for the cheeks, just to give you a few examples! Then there are the fillers made by Galderma! Those are all the Restylane family of fillers. Restylane Lift is indicated for the cheeks and the rim of the orbital bone around the eye. Restylane Silk is indicated for the lips! We are most excited about Restylane Refyne aka the ERASER! (please check out our before/after pictures on Facebook to see the powerful results we get using it). It’s used anywhere on the face and Restylane Defyne great in the parenthesis around the mouth. These too are also HA fillers. Then there is Sculptra also made by Galderma. It is our semi-permanent filler that we use to create a “Liquid Face Lift” It is not an HA filler but instead it is made of ploy-L-lactic acid and when injected into the skin causes a response where new collagen is produced! Rather than “renting” those HA fillers, you are “owning” your results with Sculptra because your body actually rebuilds with it. Lastly, Merz makes two fillers that we use as well. Belotero is used to “chase away” fine lines and wrinkles and can safely be used to even fill the delicate tear trough area under the eye. It is also used anywhere on the face to literally fill any fine lines. The other filler by Merz is Radiesse. It is a calcium based filler that has microscopic particles of calcium that “irritate” the fibroblast and in response create a rebuilding of collagen and elastin. It comes in a larger 1.55cc syringe. It’s used in cheeks and parenthesis.
